In order to obtain a merchant account with EMG, we are required to verify your identity. Some merchants are uncomfortable providing a social security number with the rising identity fraud concerns. While we understand the apprehension merchants may have, the Patriot Act was passed to help protect the US people. The full text is listed here patriotact.pdf.
