Since Eliot Management Group (EMG) started processing credit cards over 10 years ago, there have been many changes in the payment card industry. Rates, equipment, and security, just to name a few, have constantly changed to make credit card processing more convenient and worry-free. One of these updates includes the State and Federal Truncation Laws.

If you’ve been processing for as long as we have, you’ll notice that these laws didn’t even exist a few years ago, but infractions are now punishable by large fines and jail time.
