Then, fax your new voided check with a letter from the signer on your merchant account to the customer support fax line.What if I need to change the signer on my merchant account, but all other company information is not changing? Have the original signer who opened the account fax a letter to your local office advising EMG of the new signer on the merchant account. What if I need to change my business name, but all other company information is not changing? Have the original signer on your merchant account fax a letter to your local office advising EMG of the new DBA name. What if I am changing the type of ownership of my merchant account (ex: from sole proprietor to an LLC)? Please contact your local office to sign a new application with the current information. What if I have sold my business, and the new owner would also like to accept credit cards? Please contact your local office to have the new owner sign a new application with the current information. What if I am a seasonal merchant and need to activate my account? Please call the customer service number 800-789-8897 and advise them of the change. A partial download may be needed to open the account, and the customer service team will walk you through that process. What if I would like to add a card type (AMEX or Discover) to my merchant account? Please contact American Express 800-528-5200 or Discover 800-347-2000 and advise them of the desire to add that card type. You may also call the customer service number 800-789-8897 and advise them of the change. What if I would like to add gift or loyalty cards to my merchant account? Please contact your local office and advise them of the change. They will have you fill out the correct paperwork to start the gift card process. What if I need to add an additional terminal to my merchant account? Please contact your local office and they will have you fill out the correct paperwork to add an additional terminal to your merchant account. If you would like to purchase a new terminal, your local representative will also be able to help with that process. What if I need to raise my high ticket amount for my merchant account? Please gather 3 months’ current business checking statements and contact customer service 800-789-8897 and advise them of the change. They will then ask you to fax the statements. What if I need to change my sales profile for my merchant account? Please call into the customer service number 800-789-8897 and advise them of the change. They will fax you the correct paperwork to make that change. What if I need to add debit to my merchant account? Please contact your local office and they will submit the change for you. If you do not have a PINpad, you will need to purchase one before debit transactions are available to you. What if I need to add FirstView to my merchant account? Please contact your local office, and they will submit the change for you. They will also fill out the required paperwork at this time. What if I need to deactivate my seasonal merchant account? Please have the original signer on your merchant account fax in a letter to your local office that states the date that the account needs to be deactivated, and they will submit the change for you. What if I need to terminate my account? Please contact your local office and advise them of what you wish to do. If you are still under contract with EMG, you may be charged a cancellation fee.
