HOW DO I UPDATE THE TIME AND DATE ON MY CREDIT CARD TERMINAL?Occasionally, there are reasons whay your credit card terminal will have a time or date that is incorrect. The most common reason is due to the semi-annual daylight saving time changes but al;so may occur when you receive a replacement terminal or power outage. Regardless of the reason, it is important to keep your credit card terminal's time and date accurate.
When your credit card terminal is not reporting the correct time and/or date, you may run into some of the following problems:
How do I update the time and date?EMG provides helpful Quick Reference Guides (QRGs) to every merchant at the time of installation. The QRg will provide you with step-by-step instructions on how to update the time on your credit card terminal. If you have misplaced your QRG, simply search for your equipment model (typically located on the front of the terminal) in the search box provided at the bottom of this page and you will be linked to a copy of the QRG.
