The Talento is capable of processing Credit, Debit, gift cards, and check services. This terminal has a built-in printer and uses and external modem. This terminal hasn't been manufactured for several years, therefore replacement is a problem. The 2U/T-One needs an external PINpad (Thales T-Pad) to process Debit. The 2UD/T-IPP has an internal PINpad, and the 4UD/T-IPPS has this plus a smart card reader.

The Thales T-Pad is used during Debit transactions by card holders to enter their PIN number. This PINpad is required for merchants using a Talento 2U that want to process Debit. An external PINpad is convenient for you because you won't need to hand the terminal over to the merchant. This is also more secure because is limits access to the terminal, reducing the risk of unauthorized transactions. This PINpad can also be set up with the 2UD and 4UD.
