| Optimum M4100 Blade |
 |
The Hypercom M4100, commonly known as the "Blade", is a wireless terminal useful for merchants who are not able to access a phone line or Internet that want to get swiped rates, reduce costs by accepting debit cards remotely, and reduce chargeback exposure by getting cardholder signatures on the receipts as opposed to phoning in orders. When a merchant uses the Blade through EMG, it connects via the Apriva gateway. Apriva primarily uses the AT&T network, which covers 90% of metro areas, so merchants are able to process transactions with speed, reliability, and security. For more details on coverage near you, click here.
Do you have a restaurant that wants to process credit and debit transactions at the table? The Blade has a Feature called “Pay by Customer” (PBC) that allows them to do just that. PBC allows the merchant to hand
over the terminal at the table and a customer can enter a tip based on percentage or amount, or skip it if desired.
