ELIOT GREEN PROGRAM

At Eliot Management Group, we realize that small steps can lead to BIG change when it comes to protecting our environment. In 2009, we launched the Eliot Green Program to do our part in protecting the beautiful world that we live in. To maximize our contribution, EMG is contributing in two ways; as a responsible processor and as your partner.

What is EMG currently doing to help?

EMG has made numerous eco-conscious changes company-wide over the last year. Some of our efforts to reduce, reuse, and recycle include:
  • Used printer toner recycling programs in all offices
  • Paper recycling programs in all offices
  • Recycle program for broken and used credit card processing equipment
  • Internal computer system that converted our paper trail to digital
  • Energy efficient light fixtures
  • Green cleaning supplies and recycled paper goods in kitchen/restrooms
  • Use of recycled-material office supplies when possible
  • Offer cardboard boxes we no longer need to the public for reuse
  • 100% recycled packing and shipping material (please recycle)
  • Using 30% recycled paper all printed marketing collateral, letterhead, business cards, corporate newsletter, etc.
  • Eco-friendly corporate apparel options
  • Reformatted our corporate newsletter to minimize paper use and shipping costs, and include ‘Eco-Tips’ in each issue
  • Eco-conscious items are chosen for internal promotion prizes and logo items
  • Off-site data storage facility utilizes 100% renewable energy
  • Merchant paperwork printed with a “100% recyclable” logo to encourage recycling

What can you do to become a member of the EMG Green Program?

As our partner, EMG asks that you commit to the following:
  • Purchase or lease a custom EMG Green terminal
  • Only receive an electronic copy of your merchant statement through FirstView
  • Implement continual improvement procedures in your business to identify and reduce waste that can be damaging to the environment
In return EMG will promise to:
  • Make a financial contribution to The Nature Conservancy on your behalf
  • Provide you with the lowest IP-based transaction fee that we can offer
  • Issue your business a Green Merchant certificate and sticker to display to customers
  • List your company name on EMG’s website as a PARTICIPANT OF THE ELIOT GREEN PROGRAM and a link to your website
  • Send you a quarterly update via email with program updates and special announcements
